Sound Byte-Taylor Swift, Elliot Yamin, Jesse McCartney

Review Revolution:
from the Christian perspective
Sound Byte

Taylor Swift
She’s the country/pop singer who put out “Our Song” and “Teardrops on My Guitar.” She uses mild profanity in “Teardrops” and another song, but besides her fairly bold love songs, Taylor has done a nice job with this album. “Mary’s Song” (“Oh My”) is about high school sweethearts who get married and grow up together (really sweet song!). In the end, Taylor’s album is really a mix of great and OK.

Elliot Yamin
American Idol wannabe, Elliot Yamin put out his first album in 2007 with his “America’s top 100″ hit song, “Wait For You.” His songs feature mostly romance and break-ups, but, other than that, they are pretty clean and on the more pure side of the rainbow.

Jesse McCartney
“Jesse, I love you!” all the girls scream and a few of them faint. Why? He’s been out for years, and his second album is not… pure. Hit song “Daddy’s Little Girl” is about his efforts to pursue a girl who just turned 18 and teach her “what she never knew.” He focuses on girls, pursuits, and other explicit subjects. Truly, his first album was well-made and fairly civil, but album two, “Right Where You Want Me”, is a picture of Jesse McCartney gone wild.
